Terms of Service
Effective 9 September 2026
By creating an account or using UniDraft, you agree to these terms. Read section 3 carefully — it covers your responsibility for how you use the document UniDraft produces.
1. The service
UniDraft is a drafting and formatting assistant. You provide your own genuine work — your topic, activities, methods, results, and sources — through a guided questionnaire, and UniDraft organizes it into a structured, submission-formatted document (IT/SIWES report, seminar report, or final year project) that follows your institution’s known formatting conventions where we have them confirmed.
UniDraft does not invent your results, activities, or sources. It writes around the verified facts you supply and cited sources it can retrieve; it will decline to invent what you haven’t provided.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be enrolled at, or otherwise legitimately affiliated with, the university and department you register under.
3. Academic integrity & your responsibility
UniDraft is a tool for organizing and formatting your own work — it does not replace your responsibility to your institution. Specifically:
- You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of any AI-assisted drafting tool, including UniDraft, complies with your university’s and department’s academic-integrity and AI-use policies. If you are unsure what your institution permits, ask your supervisor before submitting.
- The facts, results, and activities you enter must be genuinely yours. UniDraft is built to refuse to invent missing data — do not attempt to work around that by entering fabricated results.
- You are responsible for reading, reviewing, and personalizing the final document before submission. UniDraft’s release checks catch many issues (placeholder text, generic AI phrasing, missing citations) but cannot verify facts only you know to be true.
- UniDraft does not submit any document to your institution on your behalf. Submission, and everything that follows from it, is entirely your own act.
4. AI limitations
Generated content, including cited literature, may occasionally contain errors despite our verification steps. You must independently review all citations, facts, and figures before relying on or submitting the document.
5. Payments & refunds
Document packages and correction rounds are paid for through Flutterwave. If a paid generation fails outright (for example, it hits its cost ceiling or the AI provider errors) before producing a usable draft, we retry it at no extra charge; if a retry cannot be completed, contact support@unidraft.ng for a refund of that specific charge. Refunds are not available simply because you are unsatisfied with wording choices that a correction round can address.
6. Corrections
A correction round lets you request a specific, described change to a generated document (for example, a supervisor’s feedback). You review and confirm our interpretation of the request before it is applied. A round is consumed only once a corrected version is successfully produced.
7. Ownership of your content
You retain ownership of the facts, evidence, and files you provide, and of the final document generated for you. We do not claim ownership of your academic work. Reference documents contributed by university admins are used only to inform structure and formatting for other students in that department, never copied into your content — see the Privacy Policy, section 5.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Impersonating another student, supervisor, or institution, or submitting someone else’s academic identity as your own.
- Uploading fabricated results, evidence, or supervisor instructions.
- Attempting to bypass payment, correction-round limits, or account restrictions.
- Attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
- Uploading a reference document you are not authorized to share.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including for fabricated evidence or payment abuse. You may stop using UniDraft and request account deletion at any time.
10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
UniDraft is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that a generated document will meet every requirement of every institution or examiner, or that it will achieve any particular grade or outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniDraft’s liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific document or correction round giving rise to the claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the effective date above, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
